When people begin to get involved in missions, one of the first things often done is to take a short mission trip to get exposure to what God is doing in other parts of the world. A good place to find information on such opportunities is www.ShortTermMissions.com
Another excellent resource is the Perspectives Course on World Missions. It is a 15 week one night a week class offered in various cities around the country. It is the best thing available for learning what is going on in missions. See www.perspectives.org for a location near you.
